Desktop Administrator
Millard Sprinkler is looking for a Desktop Administrator to assist the IT manager. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and driven to deliver excellent user experiences across our workstation environment. They should be forward thinking in nature, with a focus on constantly looking for potential improvements to increase associate productivity. Duties and Responsibilities
- Work alongside the IT manager to help with the planning, implementation, maintenance, and documentation.
- Train all new employees on how to use the Millard technology stack. Workstations, desk phones, mobile devices, and in-vehicle equipment.
- Provide Tier 1 helpdesk support, via phone, computer, and in person where needed.
- Assist with social media updates and maintenance
- Create detailed work logs and technical documentation.
- Use appropriate communication and documentation to inform team of important issues and information which will help improve team performance.
- Coordinate with operations and other groups for planned and unplanned procedures/maintenance that would impact their teams.
- Escalate issues to IT Manager as needed, as well as set customer expectations for follow-up (i.e., when to expect a follow-up contact and by whom).
- Communicate with outside software/hardware vendors when needed.
- Create graphics for marketing and social media posts.
- Produce training documentation that other people can understand.
- Treat co-workers and members with respect and courtesy.
Qualifications
- Technical degree or 2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to handle and prioritize projects and break fix items daily.
- Self-motivated to completed tasks within a deadline
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently.
